Devi (Devanagari: देवी) è una parola in sanscrito che significa Dea. Devi è sinonimo di Shakti, l'aspetto femminile della divinità, comprende in sé la totalità del'Energia divina fermminile come d'altronde si concettualizza nella tradizione indù Shakta. È la parte femminile senza la quale, l'aspetto maschile, che rappresenta la coscienza, diventa senza forza: i tantrika difatti afferman che senza Devi il dio Siva è cadavere.
